I stayed in the house this year and handed out candy... unfortunately, this night is just another reminder of a year ago (when I was a sappy mess), so opting out of walking in the cold was just fine with me. Ryan was the good parent and took the kiddos (and two girls across the street) with him. They had a good time, came back with oodles of candy... and were freezing. Success.
