Summer - Part 3, This & That

Summer has continued... and it's going so fast.  We are already about 8 weeks in, and only have about 4 weeks left.  

The kids have kept fairly busy. 

Kayson - 

• golfing - hoping he will make the 9th grade golf team
• fishing - all the fishing!
• He's been back to AI two days a week, which has been good
• He's been lazy too!  Lots of sleeping in!

Cora - 

• She's been enjoying the break from dance, but we are back at it now!
• camps and some intensives to get the girls back into it!
• So much slime making!  and clay bracelet making!
• Fun with a few close friends
• She's even gotten a few fun days with Aylah!

The last couple days we've had Blair and his family in town for the Little League championship games.  Unfortunately, Tate's team hasn't done all that great, but it's been fun to watch him... and then spend a little time with the kiddos.  

The End of an Era - State Baseball

The Westside Aces are done for the season... and for their career.  Man, that pulls at the heart strings a little.  Kayson and the Aces participated in the State Tournament this past weekend... playing their hearts out, battling hard...  but coming up short in the semi-finals.  We unfortunately don't have enough pitching to last 5 or 6 games!!  Regardless, it's been a good season of ups and downs...  but they did well at State, and that's what matters in my opinion.  

We celebrated these kids and coaches... and appreciate all the support throughout the years.  We made a good choice joining the Aces and we are very thankful for the friendships we built.

Summer - Part 2, This & That

Things have been going well.  Cora is enjoying some time off from dance.  Kayson is still all in with baseball, we will be wrapping up soon.  

But the kids are enjoying the summer so far...  I can't believe it's already the beginning of July!!
