Weekend

Friday:
We grabbed pizza out... then back home for the kids to watch a movie, and just relax.  

Saturday:
Alzheimer's walk first thing...  Ryan headed over to Iowa City for the game.  A lost this time... huge bummer.  

After the walk, we got home and let the kiddos just relax (iPad time).  They were both exhausted from the walk - 2 miles is a long ways for those little legs.  We got Panera for lunch, and just enjoyed each other.  I got Cora to lay down for a bit...  her naps are getting shorter and shorter.  But Lindsay and Jill and I just hung out and talked... a really nice time we had. 

They headed home around 4:00, and Hope and Logan came for a visit.  Always a good time with them...  we sat around and talked, played with Kayson quite a bit... and Cora wanted Hoppie to do a bunch of stuff with her.  She loves Hope.  They both got silly and showed off quite a bit - they were so tired!!  Soon Ryan was home from the game, and we went out for Mexican.  Their favorite - our favorite.  Win win.  :)  Had a nice time. 

Sunday:
Church... and Kayson started flag football.  The boys headed out, while I stuck at the house for Cora to rest for a bit.  Again, about an hour and 15 minute nap.  We headed up to football.  It was a beautiful (windy) day, so we sat in the sun and talked.  She did fairly well for me, as long as she had a snack in her mouth.  Seriously.  Kayson did really well - threw the ball for a touchdown, and even ran for a touchdown.  Exciting!  

Back home to get cleaned up, and we met Heidi, Chris and Brady for pizza.  We had a nice time, in between the whining from my tired kids and having to go to the bathroom.  Again - seriously!  Next time we are doing dinner with no kids.  I felt like I hardly got an adult conversation started, or completed with Heidi.  *sigh*

And home to get baths and bed done.  The kids were exhausted, and asleep by 8:20.  Perfect. 

It was a good weekend...  always super bummed that it's over.
