Weekend

Friday:
Out for dinner, then home and just hung out.

Saturday:
A busy day...  we started with Kayson getting a hair cut while Cora visited Elaina's house --- their second play date.  Casey (Elaina's Mom) is such a trooper - she has three girls of her own (all under the age of 3.5!!!!) and she was SOOO excited to have Cora come and play.  So great!  Such nice, good people.  So they played for about an hour and a half, then we picked her up and headed out to Adel.  The Dallas County Fair was this past week, so we thought we would hit that up for a bit.

Now with fairs - I hate them.  Like HATE the State Fair, etc.  I just don't like all the people, all the walking (call me lazy!).  It's just a lot.  So we figured the Dallas County one would be small, and we were right!  It was so perfect.  Quick parking, and we just walked around for about 2.5 hours.  Kids got animals/flowers made out of balloons, free watermelon, saw the animals, went on a pony ride... so simple.  They don't know much difference, so we (at least I) thought it was great.  ha.

We headed back home... Cora took an awesome nap!!!  She was a tired girl.  Ryan mowed, I got groceries, and just relaxed a little bit.

Then Ryan and I went out for dinner with Mike and Colleen.  Such a nice evening with them...  they had no kiddos at home (which NEVER happens), so we just sat and talked for about 3 hours.  It was so great.

Sunday:
Church, and sorting/bagging shoes.
Then we headed to the Picket Fence Creamery in Woodward.  Kayson went there for a field trip earlier this summer, and really liked it... and we got an email saying they were having an open house yesterday.  We thought we would try that too...    It was a nice little farm, but we didn't get to see any of the cows that actually milk or a tour...  so we just bought a few homemade things from the 'store' and were on our way home.  It was a nice little trip.

Cora took another rest... and so did I.  I have been absolutely exhausted lately, so I layed down, and slept for 2 hours.  It was heaven.  I can't remember the last time that happened!  Then we just hung out the rest of the day... I made breakfast for supper, and then our evening was pretty much over.

A quick weekend.
Supper at Cracker Barrel Friday night.
