Kayson 5th Grade Spring Conference

We had K's last elementary parent-teacher conference on Saturday morning.  As expected, he's doing well...  yes, he's social (friends with everyone), and needs to stay away from Caleb (but he won't!), but overall - academically he's doing well, and on track.
This year has been big for him, and the 5th graders...
Specials on human growth and development - all the puberty talks, girls and boys talks and then also Code 411 - which is talk about peer pressures that are out there - drugs, stealing, the crimes.  That's a lot for this age... a lot to soak in, and know what's wrong and right.

In addition, they are prepping for BizTown and then just 6th grade in general... again, a lot.

But again, overall - he's doing well.

Assessment data:
MAP Reading - 218
MAP Math - 218

He's at the 'expected' score.

Independent reading level - V
Instructional reading level - W

Mrs. Scheetz has been great, a fun, yet serious teacher.  I know Kayson has really enjoyed her, so that's nice.

Proud of this kid, and ready to see what is next for him.
