Another weekend, another weekend at the fields!
Saturday morning we were 'free', we didn't have to be at the fields early, so that was nice.
Cora did have production practice at 9... while she was there, I did a few errands, including a grad party, then back to pick her up, and home to chill for a bit. Then we were off in the heat to the fields. This was our first "HOT" tournament. Thankfully there was a breeze, so that helped.
Boys went 2 and 0 on Saturday. In between games, Kelsey suggested the littles go to the 'beach' to cool off and maybe kayak. Super great idea, and we were in. Cora had a blast with Ira and Jett. Jesse and "Uncle" Dave took her and the boys kayaking too... so fun, and thankful for them. She was living her best life!!
Sunday was an early morning for the boys... first win, then we lost that second game. Some errors, and just not enough. Kayson has struggled at the plate lately... just not very consistent (Yes, I know he's 12), but if he continues to struggle, Coaches could decide for him not to bat. Tough. We will see. He was super upset when he got home... big tears and wanted to be alone. I felt awful for him. I hate seeing him like that... but I know he cares and hopefully he will just continue to work hard.
