Friday:
We stayed home. We had been gone/busy every single night last week with some sort of activity, or Ryan being gone unexpectedly... so all I asked for was a night at home. We got it, but Ryan still was home later, and worked a little too. BUT - it was a nice, quiet night at home, which was much needed.
Saturday:
Our morning was nice... fairly quiet, got some things done and ready for the afternoon. We headed down to Norwalk Saturday around lunch to get to Kayson's tournament. What a beautiful day it was - a little windy, but the breeze was cool enough... and the sun was out. Almost perfect.
The boys played 2 games Saturday... one loss, one win. They played well, and had some learning to do from the loss.
We got home around supper time... ordered pizza in, and had a quiet night. And by that time - we started to see our sunburns! Oops.
Sunday:
Baseball continued! We had to miss church, which we haven't done in months!! It felt weird, but that's what we gotta do! ha.
We started games at 10:00 Sunday... and we kept winning... so we kept playing! 10:00, Noon, and again at 2:00 for the championship. The boys were troupers, and were doing great... but loss steam in that third game. We ended up losing - 2nd place for the tourney, but super proud of those boys. Kayson did well - had a couple great hits over the span of the two days (which built up his confidence a little!)... he runs the bases awesome... and is smart out there. He did have some turnovers too... and did the pitching thing, which wasn't going well... but that's ok. It was a great couple days.
Sunday we got home around 4:30... and we ate everything in sight it seemed! And just laid low. We were all exhausted. Bed for the kids was at about 7:45 and 8:00... and they were out!
What a busy, fast weekend.
