I was an emotional wreck on Tuesday. One of those mornings I woke and I instantly was worried about, well, you name it. The kids were tired. I was tired. I just felt alone... and I didn't want to do anything. But we got going... and Cora sang in the car for me. And in that instant - I was better. She sings with such joy, it just helped me that morning... and it was exactly what I needed.
Friday:
Kayson had a birthday party to go to... an I Cubs game for Caleb's birthday. We dropped him off at 6pm. Ryan, Cora and I grabbed a bite to eat... then back home. We didn't do much... just played, watched shows, the night seemed to go fast too.
Kayson got home around 10:10... and was wired! But also tired too. He got cleaned up, and crashed. He had a great time... good family to hang with.
Saturday:
Up and at 'em. Another baseball tournament... and the weather was MUCH better than last time! It was "Spring"... no sun really, but not much wind, and was fairly comfortable. Cora got a little cold, but really, wasn't terrible.
The day was good... we played at 9 am, 11 am, then again at 3 pm for the championship! And it was a win! The day was a win. The boys did really well... hit well, did everything much better than last time! I'd say it was a success. ha. The only thing us parents would say needs improvement - sliding! And we laughed at almost every slide each kid tried to do. Funny.
It was a good day.
Back home... with a tired boy, and girl... we had supper, and had an early movie night. We watched "The Greatest Showman" (soooo good!), kids liked it... and crashed right after. Good night.
Sunday:
Church... and a beautiful day outside. Finally!! The sun was warm, a little breeze... true Spring weather. The kids and Olivia played for several hours after lunch. I did groceries and a little laundry, but didn't clean one bit! ha. I'll be mad tomorrow when I realize that the bathrooms are gross, but I didn't really care. We just enjoyed the day... the weather. It was a nice, relaxing day.
Lots of pics from the weekend:
