Cora and I spent the last week (June 23 through June 27) in Wisconsin Dells with CESOD for nationals. I always worry about doing that drive "alone" and a whole week away, but we did it, and we had a good time.
Cora was a trooper all week - she's growing up, and I'm seeing it. She handled the busyness well, she handled our down time well... I'm so proud of her, and I'm proud to be her mom. I know she's not perfect, but seeing other young girls cry and be bitchy, and then see Cora not be that way - is refreshing, and I appreciate it.
Anyway, the week was good:
Monday - Girls Night duet with Tenley. They did so well, probably one of their best runs! The girls placed in the top 10, which is a huge accomplishment! Super exciting for them.
Wednesday - small groups and large group dances.
Never Dreamed did well - lyrical is hard, always is for this age, but they did well... definitely a good 'last' run! Received an Elite Gold, placed 10th.
Goldie Locks - Elite Gold, 6th place.
Wash That Man - Elite Gold, 9th place. (We were ready to wrap that dance up!!) It's a harder one, and not one of our favorites! ha.
Snow Day - Judges award - "Hip Hop Madness", Platinum, 7th place overall - and chosen for the Showdown! Very exciting, and well deserved. The kids crushed that dance, and was a crowd favorite, which is super fun!
It was a great week - lots of pool time, lots of dance time, lots of supporting the others when we could.
