Weekend & Basketball

Friday:
What a week...  we wrapped up a busy week, and then Kayson was off to be with Hudsen and some friends for Hud's birthday.  They went to the IMax theatre for a movie... and had a good time.  We didn't let him stay over night due to basketball on Saturday/and Sunday... good choice by us, and he was fine with it too.

Saturday:
We were able to sleep in a little...  then we were on the road to Ames.  2 wins on Saturday...  and had plenty of time in between games too, so we went out for lunch (and Hope and Eden joined us, which was so nice and fun.)  I missed those girls.  Jill, Jeff, Dad and Lindsay joined us for the 2nd game on Saturday, so that was super nice too... 

Saturday night we were able to just be home and relax a little, which was needed.  

Sunday:
Up SOOO early - 5:45 for us, 6:15 for the kids and unfortunately that was rough for them.  We headed back up to Ames --- and our first game ended in a forfeit...  which was super frustrating that we got up so early for nothing really.  The kids ended up just playing each other, which ended up being fun... but still irritating!

We went out for a late breakfast with Mike and JeanAnn, and a few other families...  then ran to Target and walked around...  then back for our 2nd game.  A win, and it was a great game.  

Then another section of waiting around...  we were in the championship, and it was a very stressful, nail biter of a game.  We unfortunately lost by 1 point...  the boys worked hard, and were so disappointed.  I felt bad. 

Back home...  grabbed food... ate at home...  showered up... and relaxed.  The kids were in bed early, and so was I.  Tired!!!

Glad our families were able to support K this weekend... was a nice change for him.  I know he appreciated it. 

Here's to a fast week - Ryan's out of town, I have soooo much to do before Saturday (Taylor Christmas) while still working all day.  Boo.
