Kayson - Popular kid!

We are deep into the 4th of July weekend - long weekend for us!
I had Friday and today off, so off from work for 5 days, and it's been great!  Somehow I should have it this way more often!  ha.

Anyway, Kayson has had a great long weekend...  a busy kid he is, and seems to be popular!  :)

Sunday afternoon, his friend Hudsen asked to have him over for a bit...  they played hard apparently... and Hudsen's mom said they had a blast and that Kayson is a 'great kid'.  OOoo that makes me feel good!

Sunday night - we headed over to Webster's to grill and play.  We always have such a good time there...  big house, huge back yard, and endless toys and things to do.  And for the kids not really seeing each other that often - they really kick it off well and do awesome together.  Miss Cali is a pretty little thing, and says she's going to marry Kayson.  :)

Monday afternoon - Kayson and I went over to Hackett's community pool.  Haley and Jamie were waiting for us, and we sat and visited (Haley and K swam and played so well) for about 2 hours.  It was a hot day too... so it was nice to sit with our feet in the water.  Super nice time. 

Monday night - Kayson went with his friend Carter to be in the West Des Moines 4th of July parade!!  Big deal!  Carter's dad works for West DSM Water Works and drove a truck in the parade - so the kids got to throw out candy and have a blast for about 5 hours!  They did well, according to the parents, and Kayson said he had fun.  

What an amazing couple days for this kid... and we love knowing he has nice friends.  Pretty neat.
