Friday, we did dinner out... Then back home to play outside a bit. It was super humid, and no breeze so it didn't last very long!! We got the kids to bed at a decent time, then just relaxed.
Saturday, the kiddos slept in... Ryan went to work. While the kids slept, I started laundry and showered... We were supposed to do Cora's 3 year pics, but it was raining. Those are rescheduled for a couple weeks out. Big bummer... I really wanted those done!! Anyway, it was a rainy morning, so we started cleaning out toys and just hanging out. That afternoon, Cora rested... Ryan hung the huge TV in the basement, Kayson hung out... It was just a really nice afternoon.
Around 4:00, we had a sitter come stay with kids. We wanted a few hours to ourselves to do some errands and dinner out... Kids were excited for the sitter. Miss Lindsay is one of Cora's teachers, so we knew it would go well. Ryan and I headed out... Hit up Lowe's, Bed Bath and Beyond, then Homemakers. We got what we needed but still need to make the final push/purchase on an entertainment/media unit. It's a hard decision!! We had a nice dinner at Granite City, then a stop at Menards.
We got home... And the kids were having a good time. Lindsay sat and talked with us for awhile, which I love. It seemed to be a good night for them.
Ryan and I then enjoyed the basement once the kids were asleep... It's awesome down there! More to come with that... more pics too!
Today, we went to church, had leftovers for lunch then it was more basement work. We got the bathroom all set up, blinds are up on both windows, bedroom is set up, storage stuff was shifted (some stuff moved out to be used, and some things just went right back in there!!). The workers have to come back and touch up paint and still paint the shelves, so..... We are waiting a little longer to unload everything. Crossing my fingers we can finish up this week.
Anyway, then around 4:00 today, the kids and I met up with two of Kayson's friends from daycare for a park play date. Myself, Katie and Kristin just sat for an hour and a half chatting... While the kids played. They all did great, Cora loved it too! I think it's awesome that we keep in touch with a few kiddos from 2 years ago!! It was a nice ending to the weekend.
Supper was had tonight, a little kickball, and bed. I know I'm tired. I had terrible insomnia last night... Awake from about 2 to 4 am. It was terrible. So I'm officially feeling it right now!
It was a nice weekend... Just stinks that they go so fast. Here's to a fast week, I hope!
