Kayson made the 9th grade golf team... they have been practicing and participating in meets for about 3 weeks now. It's been such a good thing for Kayson - he really enjoys it (when he does well!), and he's gotten to know some new kids, which I enjoy.
With golf - it's a head game. You can play really well one day, then the next 4 days are awful! He's definitely learning! We did set up a private lesson with a guy from Iowa State University. That lesson went really well - the guy adjusted a few things on K, and he has applied those changes, and has done well. That's what we like to hear and see!
Thursday was the first time Kayson got to participate in a meet! I personally think it's a big deal - he doesn't. But I was excited. I went and watched... seemed weird, but there were other parents there, so it was fine! Kayson didn't have his best round, but he definitely had some moments to take away that were positive.
