Thought I would do a Boomer 'update'. He is now about a year and a half.
We love Boomer SOOOO much.
- He is definitely a 3rd child for me, but honestly - I enjoy him. He gets me 'out' of the house and up from my computer!
- He is the best snuggler (especially at night!).
- He is half monkey - or cat, not sure which! He tends to be a big jumper - jumping on chairs, then the counters. If he wants something on the counter, he WILL do anything to get it.
- He barks - not our favorite thing. His bark is SUPER loud, like louder than I ever thought could happen!
- I 'train' him everyday - he knows sit, lay down, roll over, wait, leave it, come and shake. He does pretty good, inside the house, but outside - not so much! If he ever gets out (which he has), it's a shit show! He runs like a gazelle!!! :)
- Loves walks.
- His way of letting us know he needs to potty is chew at our wrists/shirt sleeves. Yah, pretty awesome. (NOT)
- He's a scardie-cat!!! He's very timid around others, and around other dogs. It's a little frustrating because he has such a 'big' personality at home, but around others, he's very scared. He also hates loud noises and big trucks!!
- We go to the dog park a couple times a week - he loves it there, runs and runs. But again, a little scared of some of the other dogs, but seems to bark and bark at the big dogs! Go figure.
We had a vet appointment today for his yearly shots. The vet was a little concerned that he wasn't gaining weight. Last time he was in, he was a little under 18 lbs., today, he was just at 16 lbs. I told her that he's very active, and she figured much. We will start giving him a little more food to see if he will put on some lbs.
Honestly, we love that pup so much. He's been a great addition to our family!
