4th of July 2018

We had the Hardy's down for the 4th again...  and it was another HOT July day.  Wow.  We aren't dumb, but man it would be nice to get a 75 degree 4th of July!  ha.
 
This year we ordered Kue'd Smokehouse meat (located in Waukee), and it was super yummy and just perfect for this group.  Plus there was no reason for Ryan to be outside grilling!  I did a few sides, my sisters brought some things and my Dad brought his famous brownies.  :)  Everyone was able to join, except Ashley and Sean...  completely ok, they are older and have other friends!  ha.
 
Anyway, we just hung out all day... and of course did the bags tournament.  Brutally hot, but the breeze DID help a little.  We played a couple board games and that's about it.  Just had a really nice time, as we always do.
 
After everyone left (about 6ish), we just had some quiet time.  The kids were tired... especially Cora.  She was kind of a hot mess when the family was here - she just gets so excited and a little 'crazy'...  so we just hung out Wednesday night.  She however still wanted to do sparklers - so we did that quickly... and that was about it for her!  She nestled in bed around 8:15...  but Kayson wanted to stay up to watch fireworks.  It ended up not working out only because he wasn't very patient, PLUS super tired... so he went to bed too!
