Weekend

Friday:
We had a few of our church friends over...  the Showalter's again and Suzanne & Clint.   The original plan was to have all the 'young families' over, but it ended up not working for the other couples.  Totally get it... summer is already busy!  So... we still went with it... ordered pizza, had a few snacks and drinks.  Kids played well, and the adults just sat on the deck and chatted.  It's been a hot couple days here again, but Friday night once the sun went down, it was really nice out.

 
Saturday:
K got his hairs cut.
Then Cora and I got ready for our "Mommy-Daughter" date.  We were going to go to Charlee's Dance Recital (where Brittlyn performed, and a few of her other friends).  We got there early, cuz Aunt Niky told us to!  Cora did well, patiently waited... then we finally got in, found some seats in the balcony (which was perfect).  Cora could kind of stand up and sit down when she wanted, she even danced a little in the aisle.  :)  Anyway, the recital was amazing.  Honestly, I didn't know what to expect, but it was pure entertainment!  What a talented group of ladies, down to littles.  It was great - Brittlyn is absolutely amazing (literally the star of the show in my eyes!!!), and Cora did great.  She enjoyed herself.  Success.

We got home, kind of wiped out!  Music and dancing can do that to you!  ha. 
And we ended up packing up and driving over to Sioux City.  We figured we didn't need to drive 6 hours on Sunday... so we made a late trip over.  We got a hotel room, which was huge and great - the kids loved it.  Got to bed pretty much right away, since we got into town late. Slept fairly well... and... 

Sunday:
got up, we let the kids swim for about 30 minutes or so, then we headed to Blair & Martina's.  We were celebrating Landry's 4th birthday!  I can't believe that little girl with a lot of sass is 4 (tomorrow)!!!!  She's grown up a little over the past couple months... she did awesome, loved her presents, and we had a really nice day.  It was beautiful weather, so the boys played outside, the girls played Barbies!  It was a super nice day...  

We got back on the road about 3:30... that long dreadful drive!  Got home... cleaned up, ate a quick crappy supper... and kids got to bed.  

Great weekend, full again.  I think next weekend we are baseball free too, and we aren't planning anything!  :)
