Friday:
Birthday party for K's friend Colin - at Get Air. We dropped him off at 6:30, then headed to Johnston to visit Hope and Logan. Logan has officially moved into the real life - adulthood, got a job in Urbandale and has his own apartment. It was fun to just hang out with them for a couple hours. Cora definitely entertains.
We got home late - 9ish... kids were tired.
Saturday:
Cora was up early... but Kayson slept in pretty good. We just fiddle faddled around all morning including getting Kayson's hair cut, working on garage sale stuff and just being outside nearly all day. It was beautiful weather!!!
Saturday night was another birthday party for Caleb, at the Iowa Cubs. We all headed down (including taking another friend, Carter with us). The boys were off with their friends for the party, and Cora, Ryan and I got our seats (Ryan's company seats)... super great seats, and perfect baseball weather. Cora did pretty darn well through the game, up until about 6th inning. She started getting antsy (me too!). We got the kids around 8th inning - they were finishing cake and more party stuff... finally on the road about 9:25. SUPER late, and we were all tired.
Sunday:
Ryan had to leave for Nashville this morning, for a work conference. He was meeting up with two others from the firm (and their wives) today... they were going to do a bar/beer tour or something like that. I'm sure they had a great time.
Kids slept in awesome - I had to wake them about 8:00. We headed to church, and they were pretty good for me. We got home and were instantly outside... playing and just hanging out. We finally came in around 3:00 to just sit... the kids were tired, so they watched a movie and just vegged. I did too... no laundry, nothing. It was kinda nice.
